Fort Chipewyan Solar Panel Installation Pilot Project

2014

From September 16 to September 22, 2014, solar panels were installed on the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation Elder and Youth Lodge. The installation was one of the first of many projects that to be constructed in the region. KOW worked in partnership with Fort Chipewyan on this project and hoped for it to serve as an example, especially to other tar sands impacted First Nation communities, of the benefits solar can bring to communities.
