Keepers of the Water and ᑳᓂᔮᓯᕁ kâniyâsihk Culture Camp一2024 Water and Medicine Gathering Registration Form and Map

Keepers of the Water and ᑳᓂᔮᓯᕁ kâniyâsihk Culture Camp, 2024 Water and Medicine Gathering is a ceremonial and land-based gathering that brings together traditional teachings of our roles and responsibilities, connecting our body, spirits, and minds with water and land.

We will also host discussions about our concerns and experiences surrounding the water systems of our territories. We will also spend time exchanging traditional knowledge on medicine walks and reflecting on how we can keep knowledge alive and use it in our home communities.

Please complete this form to register for the Water/Medicine Gathering planned for July 16, 17, 18th, 2024, on the Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatchewan.

The gathering will be at the kâniyâsihk Culture Camp and Land-Based Learning School, https://kaniyasihkculturecamps.com.

This an inclusive event, and we welcome our 2-Spirit LGBTQ relatives and their teachings.

We will have catered traditional meals, and you must notify us of any food allergies on this form. Please note that not all dietary restrictions can be accommodated, and you may need to bring your own food for the duration of your stay. While meals and some accommodations (limited) will be provided, guests are expected to be as self-sufficient as possible.

Please bring bedding, toiletries (toilet paper, towels, facecloths, etc.), camp dinnerware/feast kits, drinks, and snacks for each group member. This gathering is based on traditional teachings of being in good relations with our earth, mother, water, and all our animal relatives; therefore, we ask you to limit the amount of waste by bringing reusable supplies.
