Keepers of the Water is seeking a full-time Indigenous Community Outreach Coordinator

Keepers of the Water is an Indigenous-led and its members include First Nations, Métis, Inuit, environmental groups, concerned citizens, and communities working together for the protection of Water, air, land, and all living things, today and tomorrow, in the Arctic Ocean Drainage Basin.

KOW is a growing organization and we are looking for is a person who is passionate about Indigenous rights and protection of Water. KOW is looking to hire an Indigenous Community Outreach Coordinator to engage Indigenous communities and community groups to oppose Thermal Coal Development in Alberta.

This individual will create and nurture partnerships with other Indigenous communities and organizations to facilitate awareness and education on proposed Government policy changes. We want to work with interested communities to create a cohesive message to Government against open-pit and thermal coal mining in the Eastern Slopes.

We look to directly engage multiple Indigenous communities in Treaty 7 and Nations in BC that share the traditional territory.

We want to build relationships and create a bridge of environmental stewards from Alaska to the Southern Rocky Mountains.
