Announcing the Winner of Our Podcast Logo Design Contest

We are beyond pleased to announce the winner of our soon-to-be-launched Podcast, Logo Design Contest! The contest ran through late summer into early fall and was open to Indigenous artists across Turtle Island. Winners were selected by the Keepers of the Water Board of Directors members and staff in a voting-style system. The submission with the highest number of votes was declared, and we are pleased to congratulate Brianne Island of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 8 territory on her successful Podcast Logo Design Contest submission!

Brianne Island is one of the Owners and the Creative Lead of Mixed Creatives, a 100% Indigenous-owned and operated business based in the settler state of Canada. Bree has been awarded the $ 1,500 prize, and we sincerely appreciate her creative Spirit and profoundly meaningful art that we are honoured to feature within the scope of our Water Protection work.

Those whose submission was not the selected design will be thanked with some Keepers of the Water gear for their hard work, creative energy and bravery in putting their beautiful works of art out there. We are thrilled to share all of the contest submissions with you in the following video:
